Government has announced changes to fuel prices. The petrol price will increase by 22 cents a litre from Wednesday.
Diesel will decrease by about fifteen cents per litre and illuminating paraffin will also cost about 24 cents less for a litre.
According to the Department of Energy, the main reason for the petrol hike is that the average price of Brent Crude oil increased from $59.72 to $62.68 during November, while diesel prices decreased as a result of seasonal declines in demand for this particular fuel type as well as ample refinery supplies.
The rand put a little wind in the fuel price sail in November, having appreciated from R14.93 to R14.80.
